COBKA 2021 Photo & Haiku Contest Rules


Photographs

  • 1       The entries must be original photographs created by a COBKA Member.
  • 2       Each entry must be related to beekeeping, honey or honey bees.
  • 3       The entries should be saved in a high definition format.
  • 4       Photographs can not have watermarks.
  • 5       Each person is limited to two entries.
  • 6       Anyone involved in collecting or evaluating photographs is not allowed to enter the contest.
  • 7       COBKA may use photograph entries on any COBKA media (with proper credit given to the photographer).
  • 8       Prizes will be:  1st $75, 2nd $25, 3rd annual COBKA membership renewal.
  • 9       Entries must be submitted to COBKA at cobkasocial@gmail.com by midnight Oct. 15th.  Make sure you include your name and contact information in the email so we know who you are.
  • 10   Winners to be announced and recognized at the October COBKA meeting.

Haiku - 2021 Theme: Seasons of the Honey Bee

  • 1       Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
  • 2      Entries must be original Haikus created by the entrant.
  • 3      Each entry must be related to: Seasons of the Honey Bee (What does the theme include? That is 100% up to you! No wrong answers!)
  • 4       Each person is limited to two entries. 
  • 5       Anyone involved in collecting or evaluating Haiku entries is not allowed to enter the contest.
  • 6       COBKA may use haiku entries on any COBKA media (with proper credit given to the author).
  • 7       Prizes will be: 1st: $75, 2nd: $25, 3rd: COBKA annual membership renewal.
