How to Start Beekeeping in Central Oregon, presented by Dr. Dewey Caron  

Topics will include the life cycle of the hive, mites, how to get through the summer and winter and what you need to get started. We will be providing some drinks & snacks but feel free to bring any additional snacks you like & something to take notes on. No other materials are needed.

(FRIDAY) FIRST SESSION -18 Oct 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

(SATURDAY) SECOND SESSION -19 Oct 2019, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: This session will include a break and we will have some snacks available but we recommend bringing a sack lunch.

*RAFFLE!! All attendees will receive a raffle ticket. Throughout both sessions we will pause to raffle off some excellent beekeeping resource materials & tools chosen to be useful to any beekeeper :) 

*Additional raffle tickets will be available for $1 each. Dr. Caron will also be selling his books, so bring $ or check if you would like to purchase - His textbook Honey Bee Biology & Beekeeping is $50. He will have other beginning books from $10 to $35 (his and his publisher's, Wicwas Press).
