As long as they seem to be pretty comfortable in the new hive, I find that swarming gets the urge out of them. So I'd say yes, it's ok. Now days, however, I try not to have the hives right next to another.
Is it ok to move a captured swarm adjacent to the hive they swarmed from? If not, how far away should they be located?
