    Bob,

Sorry I didn't get your message in time about collecting one of your swarms.  Keep me in mind if unfortunately it happens again.  The good news is swarms provide a brood break which is helpful in mite control.  Clyde Dildine 541-549-0998 or 458-206-8470.

    Bob,

    Maybe change your deodorant ;-)

I've found some hives are just more apt to swarm.  It's genetics in my opinion.

In that situation, I'd replace the queen to get different genetics.  Are there still enough bees left though?

    Good Luck,

    Allen

Is it something I said? :)

I have had multiple swarms from my two colonies. I have been in working them both. Removing any queen cells, changing the top and bottom boxes, providing more room, feeding, etc.

I've captured the swarms but have run out of equipment after doubling the size of my apiary and have given two swarms away. I'm really getting tired of losing my population.

    Any suggestions?
